Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
Sell. As good as he is, he is not and never will be a £20m player. Use the money to buy Jenkinson and a lb replacement, tyrong mings

Just as good as £30m Luke Shaw.

Sven Roeder 1:46 Mon Apr 20
Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
Probably his worst game yesterday
No orphan in that though
Positive is it might discourage City at least.

This must be their 10th bid for him.

Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
If the team plays on the front foot and attacks then Cresswell looks twice the player he does if we attempt to frustrate the opposition.

Thought he was terribly exposed yesterday

Could get more if Chelsea and Man City get in a bidding war.Best left back we have had for a very long time.Hammer of the Year nailed on.

Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
He was looking like a £20m player at the start of the season. No one can keep that up under Allardyce's guidance though.

Claret and blue specs there

Shaw was superb at Chelsea over the weekend and will be the best left back this country has ever had, remember he is only 19 still

Horse shit.

Azpiluwhateverhisnameis is a much better player, so can't see them spending 20 mil for a sub.

In your opinion.

The opposite could have been said more times than not.

They spent 16 on Felipe Luis. I think they're very capable of spending 20+ on Cresswell. And of course the broader issue is that they have to have domestic players to stay within the rules.

They should have kept hold of Bertrand

Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
IMO it would be a bad move for him, depending on how much ambition he actually has.. he either wants to play week in week out and further himself (at a club like West Ham), or warm the chelsea bench for £100k per week.

Haven’t we signed a left back from a team in Scotland? All ready replaced..

Or have have I gone mad

Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
Correct Woody, but looking solid for against St Mirren and then looking solid against Man United are totally different things. Hopefully we've snagged a peach, as their ex manager now of Norwich seemed to unearth some talented players.

Personally, I'd sell Cresswell. I don't get attached to players and if it helps us move on and improve, lovely.

Soon as he pulls on opposition shirt though I have no goodwill to him or anyone else.

Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
He is not the sort of player that would go and sit on the bench.... he has been an ever present for us this season and has hardly missed a game for 3-4 years.

I may be wrong but he strikes me as a player rather than an understudy.

money talks

if chelsea seriously want him then he'll be off imo

Re: Chelsea to bid £20m for Cresswell
with FFP Chelsea havent got £20 mil to spend on a reserve LB

Plus he is not better than Felipe Luis so why you'd ship him out and sign Cresswell i have no idea, this is Mourinho remember who gets alot of value in the transfer window. Cresswell at £20 mil definitely doesn't represent that

Aspissybetwetter will be their number one for sure but it's Chelsea who buy whom they want.
